the fact that the vi vs jinx fight was foretold from the beginning. the fact that the opening credits ends with their fight immortalized in stone, so that every episode you watch is a reminder of the immutable truth of it. the fact that every moment is building to this, that the show will culminate in this. this was always going to happen, they told us this from the beginning, and nothing anyone could do will ever change that.

Caitlyn and Vi are truly one of my favorite sapphic romance stories I’ve ever had to the privilege to watch on screen. I’m constantly 🤪 when I think about the amount of story time that was dedicated to them, and the type of story that was told, as that’s not usually what we get with gay romances.
I keep seeing a lot of people dissatisfied/angry/etc with how their story went and it kinda bums me out so I just wanted to use this post to get my thoughts and feelings out (obviously everyone has their own valid opinions and won’t agree with me)
Cait and Vi not being uwu “healthy” 24/7 and their inherent messiness is WHY I find them so compelling. From the moment they met there were already huge factors against them, both indirectly of their control (class struggle, power imbalance) and directly (personality clashes, communication styles). But they somehow grew to love each other anyway.
Caitlyn not saying “I’m sorry” out loud at any point to Vi by the end of the show, I honestly loved it. Because Caitlyn instead apologized with her actions, and Caitlyn’s actions always seem to speak louder than her words. Her letting go of the vengeance that consumed her for so long for Vi’s sake (which ultimately led to her allowing Vi to break Jinx out) was more meaningful to me than if they had some long blow out argument (and Vi recognizing this immediately and jumping Caitlyn’s bones then and there was just *chefs kiss* to me)
They’ll never be perfect. They’ll always have to work at their relationship. It won’t be pretty, sometimes even unfair. They’ll fight and clash and not always agree, but there’s always this persistent feeling of LOVE anyway, and they’ve decided they’ll put in the work to make their relationship last despite it all. And I think it’s beautiful.

I don't think Silco is behind the name powder. Silco understands the importance of names. It's why he's advocating for the Nation of Zaun. It's why he constantly says Jinx and rejects the name powder, "her name is jinx!" He understands that identity is so important and your name is everything to your identity. He wouldn't name a child powder.

Doodle: Tim and Sirius! The infamous two PokĂŠnerds according to certain buggie. /lh
I've already stated that Tim is a perfect candidate for Sirius and they would talk about researches.

the closer we get to arcanes finale the more worried i am bc so often .. if not always .. things i like end in a way that i dislike so much it ruins everything else for me
and im so worried they pull a 'this is a multiverse' thing bc then they can say every skin is somehow canon bc its all different universes you seeeeee and jayce went mad bc he lived through all of them or something, or force it to end in a way that makes the champions end up like they are in game- Vi is a shitty cop, Jinx is just heehoo craycray bc xyz etc

Obsessed with Vi being like, due to Jinx's actions I think she has to die. But I can't kill my little sister. Therefore Jinx is no longer my sister and really my sister died years ago. That's not how that works! But also how else is she supposed to cope i guess.

Time to start being cringe ig
Okay, so these are some doodles of my OC/sona and Gideon. To understand their relationship, it's better to see Vi as an small animal that follows Gideon around and bites him sometimes.

Omg your instagram story is so right! I can’t believe I’ve never even noticed that, probably because in fanon keith and shiro are so close that I’d forgotten that isn’t canon :0
Tumblr media
Deserves this awesome quote which I had to dig out of my sideblog reblogs
#for context - i was complaining how under-served we were to listen how much shiro did for keith and how amazing their relationship is#and then were forced to watch him just recruit him for school and be a decent teacher#like any teacher should#i mean....#any.#like he was just showing basic decency for not throwing Keith away for bad behavior#keith acted as if that man hung the moon#as if he was reliable... took a few punches that were meant for Keith ....risked something for him#wanted to give up his liver or something#gave up his last food in the apocalypse to feed him i dont fucking know#Keith acted as if that guy literally saved his life and we got scenes where Shiro is emotionally manipulating him to stay in school#or to become a leader#never really asking how he feels about it or if he needs help#i thought twice before saying Keith attached to a pile of shit because it was warm#but not thrice#i've re-watched season 1 of Arcane and was so mad about it i couldn't hold it in djdjdjd#i do think they could have a good relationship but what we were /shown/ was just not it too many plot holes to fill#love that the fandom can fill the discrepancies and rewrite those relationships though#and also i was really glad people answered to that story agreeing#i was feeling weird reading all those 'keith and shiro are my fav relationship in the show'#...lance was more warm to the mice than Shiro to Keith '#i feel like it owuld make more sense to me if keith did all of this WHILE being pissed at Shiro for leaving him#or if we saw he finds him unreliable - Shiro was only useful to him as long as Keith followed his rules too#Vander doing all he did for his daughters that shit was unconditional fucking love#vi and jinx never being able to off one another had more raw pure love than that#you know what i mean??? sorry im doing it again.... end of ramble#mezzy out 💀

speaking of fucked up overly hated female twdg characters i find it Super Interesting how people will say carver was the best villain in the whole series, but when lilly is literally just a successful carver (iron fist leader of a community turning children into soldiers) suddenly shes a bad/lame villain for some reason 🤔

could not tell you where this came from. i was simply eating my rushed lunch and was gripped with the idea. bone apple tea have a snip with absolutely zero context ily <3
“Hey man, you alright?”
Mac shivers when he looks up, pushing wet bangs out of his eyes. Most of the blood is on the back of his hands, but Mac imagines that it still isn’t a great look.
“Oh. Wait, Angus, right?”
“Mac,” he replies, coughing as soon as he rasps out the word. “I go by Mac, now.”
“Oh, cool. I’m-”
“Bozer.” Nevermind the fact that they happened to be in the same grade in a town with barely 5,000 people—Mac’s pretty sure that everyone’s heard of Bozer.
He gives a sheepish smile, as if he could read Mac’s mind. “You okay? Stupid question. Can I like… call someone for you?”
That’s a big part of Mac’s problem. Not that Bozer would know. “No,” Mac shakes his head, swallowing anything else. “I’m okay.”
“Do you like… want a ride or something?”
This time, Mac shakes his head with more fervor. “I uh, I appreciate your concern. But I’m good. Really.”
Bozer stares at him for long enough that standing out in the rain has probably gone from annoying to uncomfortable. “Look, for my own peace of mind, could I at least do something? I don’t feel great about leaving you here. Seriously. No ulterior motives.”
It’s almost funny how much it seems that Bozer hasn’t changed one bit in the five years since Mac’s seen him. Despite the fame, he’s still the same person who would wait long after school with someone when they missed their bus, or share crackers from his lunch.
Mac couldn’t imagine still being the same person he was in high school. Not after everything.
Without asking for permission, Bozer moves, squatting and joining Mac on the side of a wet and dirty curb.
“You don’t…” the words are lost on Mac as he tries to get them out. “I’m fine.”
“I’m not gonna leave you on the street when it’s raining.”
“I’m a stranger.”
“We spent twelve years together at school,” Bozer counters, though ‘together’ is a strong word. They existed in the same space geographically, but outside of study hall and the one off literature class, never saw or interacted with each other. Bozer was the type of person that everyone knew for all the right reasons, and Mac for the wrong ones.
Bozer pulls his phone from his pocket after a few seconds, but just barely glances at the screen before stuffing it back. “I haven’t seen you around here for a while.”
Mac raises an eyebrow. He wasn’t the only one who left Mission City. Last Mac heard, Bozer was getting calls left and right from Hollywood. Reporters, magazine owners, the whole thing.
He’s right, of course. Mac hasn’t been back here for five years, but Bozer is the last person that Mac would’ve expected to recognize that. From Mac’s rough understanding, neither of them have called this town their home for a long few years.
“I haven’t been here for a while,” Mac eventually replies. There’s still a part of his brain that can’t quite comprehend the conversation he’s having right now. The fact that he’s even here to converse in the first place.
“How’s your grandpa?”
A hollow laugh nearly escapes through Mac’s chest. “Dead.”
“Oh, shit. Fuck, I didnt know.”
Shaking his head, Mac looks down at the rainwater beginning to collect in the divots of the road. “It’s fine. Just happened.” It’s the only reason Mac’s back here.
“Hey, listen, I know you’re probably going to say no to this, but just hear me out, okay?” Bozer doesn’t wait for Mac’s approval to continue, “Come back to my house with me.”
“Boze-”
“Just warm up, eat some food. My parents always cook too much, and I know they wouldn’t mind.”
This time, a laugh does manage to get out. Nobody’s parents want to see a sopping wet, road-rashed Mac. Nobody’s parents would even want to see a Mac that was put together- his own included.
“I’m not leaving you out here. Just- please, man. I don’t want to wake up to my dad saying that they found your body tomorrow morning, okay?”
“You won’t.”
“Please.” Evidently, Bozer’s not above begging. “If you don’t come with me, I’ll end up telling my dad anyway, and you’d end up spending the night in the station anyway. You’ll at least get a home cooked meal this way.”
Mac bites the inside of his cheeks hard enough that he tastes blood.
“Mac-”
“Fine.”
“Yeah?”
Exhaling, Mac gives him a nod. “Yeah.”

people speak a lot about vi "that was one kid, there were many from where he came from" vs. vi "that was a kid, what if you'd missed?"
i genuinely don't know if this will make sense but i sort of think it does?
vi in the first statement is a citizen of the lanes. she's speaking from her place in the undercity. she has seen death up close and knows it's the fact of life that undercity people will get killed by enforcers eventually. she knows that death is inevitable, no matter how much you fight.
vi in the second statement is an enforcer. she's speaking from her place as someone who wears a uniform to protect. like grayson had told caitlyn, "i am an enforcer. for me, being able to handle this weapon means knowing how to protect people." vi was maybe operating from the same place. her first instinct, as it has always been, was to protect.
it eventually was a turn in her perception, now that she's an enforcer

when you think about it Vi and Jinx both show different and same sides of Zaun.
As of in the show they are the embodiments of the undercity and all that it is. I've talked about how Vi is the strength, the resilience and loyalty of Zaun and on the other hand we have Jinx who is the hardship, the pain and betrayal, the distrust and fear of Zaun.
They are all so justified and as of now Piltover and its people only see Jinx, they only look at Piltover through what we see as Jinx. What they don't understand, though, is that Jinx is just what they made her to be. It's always easier to see the negatives and focus on ones fear, so they can't see the pain that comes with Jinx and Zaun. And as of now they are all completely overlooking Vi, because to see Vi means to be confronted with what they don't want to see Zaun as.
What they also don't want to understand is that Jinx is a mirror to Piltover. The only reason Piltover isn't like Zaun is because they have power, money and resources. We see the betrayal, their ignorance and their distrust through the council. They are shown to do illegal traits, make shady deals etc etc. They don't want to be faced with that, though.
Because if they saw Vi, and if they saw Powder they'd have to understand their wrong doings and humans don't like that.
So instead they focus on the crimes, the pain, betrayal and distrust; ignoring that first of all they are not any better and second of all they inflicted and let this pain happen.
